THE GIG IS UP.
Gig workers get the short end of the stick: they’re overworked, underpaid, with no career growth. The current hiring platforms took cuts of pay, prioritized the businesses over the workers, and weren’t built for underserved communities with resources like transportation, childcare and education on career growth. Ellio’s mission was to create a gig hiring platform for gig workers in underserved communities to give them a real, honest opportunity to create a living.

Strategy uncovered three goals:
Easy to use, inclusive and approachable
Connect job seekers directly with job providers.
Funnel resources and accessibility to those who don’t have them.
The key here is that we had two workflows, a job poster and a job seeker–both with vastly different user needs & experiences.
